Unmanned weighbridge terminal installed at local timber mill.
McDonnell Industries have upgraded their weighbridge to a Driver Controlled Station allowing a fully unmanned solution for truck drivers plus advanced data recording and reporting allowing integration with the company’s finance and logistics software. Ultra Hawke supplied this touch screen pc based terminal along with traffic lights, remote displays and position sensors with S E Weighing performing the hardware installation and calibration.
With a large increase in truck traffic, this Driver Control Station has proved it’s worth immediately allowing a seamless flow of traffic and reducing waiting time and line ups in the yard.
Belt Weighers for chip loading at the port.
Australian Bluegum Plantations in Portland recently purchased 3 new belt weighing systems adding to their existing 2 belt scales for their hardwood and softwood chip storage and loading facility in the port of Portland.
S E Weighing supplied and installed these dual idler weigh frames and NuWeigh integrators allowing chip flow up to 1000 tonnes per hour with a belt speed of 4 metres per second meaning the ships being loaded quickly and accurately.
